To live our best lives possible, we need to free up our mental rent and energy to leave space for creative thoughts and ideas.
The problem is that we’re usually so busy going 100% for most our lives that we’re left little time to pursue our dreams, let alone stop and smell the roses. Many of us pursue our hobbies on the fringes of our lives and time. And further, even when we’re not go-go-go-ing, many of us choose passive, potato-relaxation like laying down on the couch in front of the TV, surfing the internet, or tapping into the never-ending swipe-hole on our phones for hours on end. (I know this because I still occasionally fall into these traps!).
Lawptimal is a blog for productivity gurus, technology junkies, doctors, nurses, lawyers, students, and productive people of all kinds to share their ideas and learn techniques to maximize their time, energy, free up mental rent, achieve healthier work-life integration, and live their best lives possible.
Even the most productive people out there can improve. If you’re already saying to yourself “Who the heck is this guy, and what does he know about productivity? I’m a NASA scientist, a father, coach of youth soccer, and I’ve invented a cure for bone-itis. What, then, could I possibly learn from this second-rate website?” I would say that even you could find some improvement in your life or some inspiration from these posts.
“When you stop growing you start dying.” – William S. Burroughs, American writer/artist
Lawptimal does not aim to be the end-all to any questions. That’s both at once impossible and would be a huge ego-trip on our end. What we do claim to be is a source of inspiration. When you read a Lawptimal guide, review or article, you should consider how that information fits into your productivity system and how you might adapt it to your own purposes to fit how you do things the best.
And if you come up with something good, we’d love to hear it!
